Hand, Party of Three: 6 Months!

Seriously!?! A half of a year has already gone by!! I just can't believe our little peanut is 6 months old! Emma is doing great and growing up WAY too fast! We are still in awe that we love her more and more everyday...not sure how it's possible, but it is! She did really well at her 6 month checkup and only cried for about 2 or 3 seconds after her shots...then she was a happy, smiley girl, as usual. Here's how she's stacking up:

Height: 24.5" (10th percentile)
Weight: 13 lb 11 oz (15th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16.5" (40th percentile)

Emma may be a peanut in size, but she sure is a little firecracker! She is sitting up, rolling all over the place and trying her hardest to crawl (but she only moves backwards!) We are definitely not ready for her to be mobile yet! It is so fun watching her grow and learn new things...I just hate that it's happening so fast! Our baby is growing up!

Milestones:

Mostly in 3 – 6 month clothes…can still squeeze into a few of her 0-3 month outfits! I hate that all baby clothing isn't sized the same!!
Bedtime is between 7 – 7:30 p.m...usually wakes up anywhere between 5 – 6:00 a.m. I’ll take it! We finally moved her out of her Rock ‘n Play Sleeper and she now sleeps in her Pack ‘n Play (still in our room) I think she likes the freedom of being able to spread out….and roll around. We definitely have a belly sleeper! At first, it made me a nervous wreck (OK, it still does!)….but the doctors say that if they can roll themselves over, they are fine. And there’s really nothing you can do about it! She looks so sweet in the mornings with bed marks on one side of her face! ;)
Rolling ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE. Gone are the days that we could just lay her down and her not move around!
Sitting up, just like a big girl! Still needs a little assistance from the Boppy, but she is definitely on her way!
Loves eating her tootsies…so adorable!
Still blowing raspberries and “talking” a lot more. As much as I hate to admit this, she is now saying “dadadadada”…I might just die the day she says anything that even remotely sounds like “mama” ;)
Switched over to “big girl” bottles…6 oz. at each feeding (up from 4)! And eating two meals a day. She has oatmeal cereal at school, then a veggie at night. We tried Green Beans for the first time and she loves them! She has eaten them for the past 5 days, so next on the menu tonight…peas!!

Chewing on her hands and tootsies…and anything!
Standing...with mommy and daddy's assistance of course
Story time before bed…and books in general
Watching baseball...Daddy likes to think it's intentional, but it's probably just the bright colors! ;)

Laughing at Daddy when he “gets her belly”
Rolling around
Eating!
Jumping and playing in her jumperoo

Dislikes:

Still not a huge fan of the carseat...she would much rather be out seeing the world!
I wouldn’t say she dislikes lying on her back, but she would much rather be on her belly! She’s not a baby anymore! ;)
