5 Months!

Happy 5 month birthday, sweet peanut!  This is such a fun age!  Emma is really starting to form her little personality and is growing and maturing so quickly!  I swear she does something new everyday!  I really don't know how it's possible to love something so much....and actually love her more and more each day!  Our hearts are definitely full! :)

No doctor's visit this month, so we'll have an official update in July for her 6 month visit.

Age: 5 months
Weight: Not quite sure...but definitely over 13 lbs.

Milestones:

• Right on the verge of growing out of her 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers
• Bedtime is at 7 p.m....lately has been waking up around 4 a.m. to eat, then back to bed until I have to wake her up and feed her again before school around 6:30.  Really wishing she would kick the 4 a.m. habit, but I'm counting my blessings!  I know lots of babies are still waking up multiple times throughout the night, so we're pretty lucky!
• Rolled over from belly to back on 5/16/13 at daycare!  Then we actually witnessed it at home on 5/27/13.  Such a big girl!
• Has discovered her feet...I'm sure it will be any moment now that they are in her mouth!
• Still blowing raspberries and cooing all the time.  Definitely "talking" more!
• Can sit up (kind of) by herself.  She can sit up on her own for several seconds...but shortly will take a face plant!

Favorites:

• Smiling (all the time!)
• Blowing raspberries and "talking"
• Sitting in her Mamas and Papas chair like a big girl
• Watching Baby First TV (her favorite shows are Harry the Bunny, Hide and Seek and The Notekins) It's funny how we can already tell what her favorites are!
• Eating her hands...and anything else!  Everything goes in her mouth these days!
• Standing...with mommy and daddy's assistance of course
• Storytime before bed
• Watching baseball...Daddy likes to think it's intentional, but it's probably just the bright colors! ;)

Dislikes:

• Still not a huge fan of the carseat...she would much rather be out seeing the world!
• Her crib at home!!  We just can't seem to get her to nap in her crib at home (even though she naps in her crib at daycare all the time!)  Oh well, I guess that's the least of my worries!  I have come to terms that she will probably be sleeping in our room until she's 12! ;)
