Hand, Party of Three: 8 Months!

Emma is 8 months! My, how a month can change so many things! We officially have a crazy girl on our hands! She is crawling all over the place, pulling up on everything she can (onto her feet!), and trying to get into everything that she shouldn't be getting into! J Within three days of being in her new class at school, she started crawling! I guess she just wants to keep up with the older kids! She has developed such a spunky little personality and we just love watching her discover new things and grow! I could seriously just watch her all day long!

She has also racked up quite a few “accident reports” at school! It’s usually the same story…Emma was pulling up on the toy shelf, tried to let go and stand by herself, then fell and bonked her head on the shelf! She has done this several times at home as well, so the poor thing has had multiple bumps and bruises. We kept joking that she looked like she was in a bar fight last week! I guess that’s just the price you have to pay for learning new things and exploring!

No recent doctor visit…we go for her 9 month checkup on 10/7. Can’t wait to get her official stats again!

Milestones:

Still in 6 month clothes…and several of her Carter’s outfits are TIGHT! Geez…they grow way too fast!
Bedtime is between 7 – 7:30 p.m...usually wakes up anywhere between 6 – 6:30 a.m.
We officially moved her to her room over Labor Day weekend! Sniff, sniff! She has done great in her crib (whew!) Still naps in her swing, but hey, we’ll take what we can get! I can’t blame her…I wish they made an adult-sized swing that I could nap in!
Is all over the place! Crawling, pulling up onto her feet, exploring EVERYWHERE! Guess it’s time to babyproof!
Still loves eating her tootsies, toys, books, remote, phone, my hair, etc.! Puts everything in her mouth!!
Loves “talking”/”singing” more…still no “mama”
6 oz. at each feeding…and now eats three “meals” a day. She has oatmeal cereal (usually a strawberry/banana blend) and a fruit or veggie at school, then a veggie or fruit at night. Emma (and mommy and daddy) really like the Plum Organics food pouches! So convenient and yummy too!

Loves playing with door hinges, air vents, cords, etc.! Anything that you’re NOT supposed to play with!

Dislikes:

Still not a huge fan of the car seat...she would much rather be out seeing the world instead of strapped into something! Maybe she’ll like the convertible car seat better??
She definitely doesn’t like you trying to control her hands/arms. For instance, when we’re feeding her solids and try to clean her hands, she gets pretty irritated!
