Emma is 2 Months Old!

Yesterday was Emma's 2 month birthday!  And today was her 2 month check up at the pediatrician with her first round of vaccines.  I can't lie...I cried when she got her shots!  Not surprising!  She had two shots and an oral vaccine today.  She was supposed to get another 3 in 1 vaccine today, but they were out...so instead of giving them to her individually (so she would've gotten 5 shots total!!)...we opted to wait until next week when they get their shipment in.  So sadly...one more shot to come in the next week or two!  She did really good though and only cried for a few seconds.  Hopefully the only side effect she'll have is sleepiness!  So far so good..but it's only been about 3 hours! ;)

Our little peanut is growing so fast!  She is now in the 25th percentile for weight, height and head circumference!

Age: 2 months

Height: 21 1/4"

Weight: 9 lb. 5 oz.

Head Circumference: 14.6"

Milestones:

• Started smiling at us around 6 or 7 weeks (and not just the gassy smiles!)
• Started "talking" more.  She has the cutest little coos!
• Busting out of several of her newborn outfits and moving on to 0-3 months!
• Almost outgrown her newborn diapers...can't believe she'll be in size 1s soon!
• Definitely more alert and awake during the day

Favorites:

• Staring at ceiling fans
• Swinging (a lifesaver at times!!) and watching the mobile
• Snoozing on Daddy's chest after her morning feeding with Mommy
• Having her pictures taken by Mommy (at least I like to think that!)
• Walking in the park
• Starting to like her play gym and just stares at the lights and hanging animals/toys

We are just in love with this little girl!!  I can't believe I only have 4 more weeks of maternity leave!  It will definitely be sad to drop her off at daycare that first day...but I'm definitely ready to get back into the swing of things and have adult interaction during the day!  I miss my work family!  And don't worry...I will be that Mom that plasters her office with pictures of her child!  I can't help it!
