My 29th birthday has now come and gone. Although I had a great time celebrating, I just can't get over the fact that on my next birthday, I will be the big 3-0. And my brother will be the big 4-0 next year! Wow! I guess we're all grown up now!
The first of several birthday celebrations was at Virago with our friends. The food was amazing (as usual) and their new location is awesome! I will definitely be going back! We also got cupcakes from Bread & Co. for dessert...soooo yummy! After Virago, a few of us ventured to Patterson House...and then finally arriving home around 3 a.m. I realized the next morning that I am WAY too old for that! I even had a 2-hour Junior League meeting that day that I had to power through. Not sure how I did it!
The second celebration was with Jason's parents and Logan. We went to Porta Via and it was SOOO good! I was the ONLY person at our table to clean their plate...but it was my birthday, so that's my excuse! My lobster ravioli was SO good, but the gelato for dessert was the best! They have THE best gelato in town (that I know of!) You should seriously get some if you're in the White Bridge Road area. You'll never want regular ice cream or yogurt ever again!
The third celebration was spent on my actual birthday at home! Jason, my personal chef, made scallops, potato cauliflower puree, sugar snap peas and carrots. Out of all three birthday meals, this was my favorite! Jason is the best cook and I am SO lucky that it's something that he loves to do! It was the perfect evening in...spent with my favorite person!
The fourth and final celebration was last Friday at Local Taco with Megan and Kyle! I hate that I forgot to snap a picture!! It was so great to hang out with them...and I think they had a fun "adult" evening! I could seriously talk to Megan for hours on end, so it was great to catch up! It's nice to know that even though our lives are very busy and very different, we still have the best connection and can pick up right where we left off! Love the Tomlinsons!
I have a feeling that 29 is going to be a great year! And I always hear that 30 is the new 20, so I guess I have something to look forward to! ;)
